Just read his comments on Lovren in the presser. He's saying the right things from a player's perspective but I worry about him. I get the impression he doesn't have that ruthless streak that the great managers have, time will tell i guess.

Just read his comments on Lovren in the presser. He's saying the right things from a player's perspective but I worry about him. I get the impression he doesn't have that ruthless streak that the great managers have, time will tell i guess.

He's shown he can be ruthless, when a player's attitude is bad. Just look at how Sakho was treated.

I do think though, from a performance point of view, he's more trusting than most managers, and more likely to give a player a time to improve.

It's weird alright, it was clear as night and day that Ibe wasn't as great as the hype suggested and it was also clear that Klopp didn't trust him given how he berated him during games.

But he does seem to rate players that i/we don't. He has the luxury of seeing them in training though where we only judge players on the pitch.
