Looks like he has a decent pair of hands.....maybe your manic pursuit for a new goalkeeper ends here

It's Heineken in the first photo but your point still stands.

I'm not surprised, German beers are all terrible. Ridiculously gassy lagers. Are there any good ones?

              Beer snobs.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I quite like Paulner. But then again, I'm not fussy.

                  Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier

Pours a thick foamy head. Color of a ripened apricot. Bubbles and light sediment floating around. So yeasty and malty. Starts off with a mix of bananas and cloves and melts into a nice long bready finish.

Unbelievably creamy and smooth. Has to be the best beers of this style I've ever had.

I think I've had that and although it is nice, it absolutely ruined my stomach

I head down to the German club occasionally for a pork knuckle and a Weissbier. They're not every day drinking but they're surprisingly moreish. First sip they're sickly as **** but by the time you finish you want another.

Weihenstephaner Kristall Weissbier is one of their tap choices but I usually stick with the Erdinger, next time I go I'll give it a go. The Hefeweissbier is bottle only, will try one but prefer to stick with tap generally.

Yeah, i prefer Erdinger for a session but Weihenstephan is lovely for one or two, just a wee bit too sweet for my tastes.

I'm going to ignore Pabs' philistine comment.

A nice Kolsch in the sun is great. But at least part of it is the ritual - I never buy them here as even a half feels sacrilegiously large as a unit.

                            Have you tried any Dunkelweizen?

Is Kolsch the one from Cologne? If it is I really like it
