I don't work for 11 straight months and do overtime over Christmas. I go away at ieast once every two months and I have zero stress in my job. Still feel like I need a break though.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Well listening to him in this press conference he is making a lot of sense. It's still disappointing we wont be putting a better team out but it is what it is. Hopefully the FA and others will rectify this for next season.

He covers every conceivable angle, pretty much leaving the press with nowhere to go.

It would be amusing if the Under 23's pull a result out of the hat against Shrewsbury.
          Modifying post.

He doesn't believe himself taking over the u23s is the best chance though. This is why he's so great really, always willing to work with others or let people he thinks are better placed to do stuff do it.

              3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Not quite the same is it.... you dont get paid millions and millions to do a job you love.... I presume? ha

Pay me his wages and I would work 11 months straight with no holidays.

Only about halfway through myself but given a very clear response to any criticism, all while not resorting to snidey digs.

That's the same silly argument that a footballer can't have issues because they are paid x amount of money. It's nonsense.

Maybe you can argue that he's paid ridiculous amounts of money, so **** him, he should have to earn it, but you can't argue he doesn't need a rest just because he has millions in the bank.

It's for our benefit that Jurgen manages his work life balance and doesn't get too consumed by the job (something he seems to do better than other managers TBF). He left his last two posts because he felt he had no more to give, despite clearly loving both clubs. If he feels he needs a break, why would any fan argue otherwise because of what he earns?

                            Completely agree

That sort of attitude that there is an element of choice or remuneration which makes up for some sort of ****ty working environment/situation has done plenty of damage to ordinary working people too.

Its not the same "silly argument"... as nobody is arguing that players or managers cant have issues because they get paid a **** load. At no point have I said player or managers should not have any issues or get worn out.

What the argument is, is that a multi millionaire can at any point just **** it off and go retire or do something else if it gets too much for them. So in your case... getting away every 2 months is not enough so you can just ****ing quit with your millions and not have that problem?? No??
