Tbh after watching them all my life, waiting for this, I kinda feel I deserve one..

I’m on klopps side on this one. As he said, the work they put in, in training isn’t throwaway work, it benefits the team. If the trainers get one, then why not the squad players. Players know themselves how much the medal means, no need to hold it from any.

Yes there will be some cases where a player clearly lucked out getting a medal, but as it is, there’s gonna be cases (not necessarily in our squad this year) where it’s a grey area whether a player gets one or not.

It's a squad game now. How the players feel about the medals is up to them but I have no issue with them being part of it. Same with the backroom staff, nutritionist etc. Its these marginal gains that get you across the line in games and in championships.

Once Klopp leaves I'd love someone to analyse the impact he's had over the last couple of seasons. Only had back to back CL finals and a PL win
since his appointment.

I think you are right about many marginal gains. Its not one thing, but a host of separate things coming together, for which Klopp has the ultimate responsibility and credit for.

Have to 100% disagree on his call to have timeouts continue next season. OK drinks breaks. They are over 2 minutes on average not 30 seconds and the time is rarely added on. We're not american, its not part of football. Obviously coaches will want it. Bin it off.

I don't even like them as water breaks (I understand the need for that in the summer) but it disrupts the rhythm of the game and suits teams that like breaking up play to disrupt momentum and pressure that they might be under. I don't think that they should be tactical breaks at all.

And if we must have them stop the clock FFS that really does my head in

The water breaks do squeeze any momentum/intensity out of the game IMO.

On the flip-side I think they'd benefit us as Klopp is such a great coach he'd use them better than other managers.
