He’s setting a high water mark in terms of how you lead a sporting organisation. He’s just an all round diamond. So respectful about Pep, and quick to praise his opponents. But still knows how to be a competitor, without the poison.

Wonder what his comments will be about Gerrard's appointment at Villa? Bet he's as nice as pie about him...

Not football related but in reading the review of the papers this morning I came across this:

In other politics news, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said a decent prime minister needs “more than weird hair” writes the Daily Star, the paper’s headline saying “Klopp Boots Bozo in the Ballon D’Ors”.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Crazy stuff last night, the journalist saying he owes the continent of Africa an apology. What an absolute gob****e, he clearly knew the klopp hadn’t said anything offensive and was just trying to quote him out of context, to start a story.

Clowns like that should be banned, from press conferences.

I didn’t know anything about this. ****ing hell. He was clearly being ironic because the Journalist had said there was no international footy until March.

Yeah I 100% took it the way he meant it. Shows you how grim it must be when every sentence you ever say in public gets scrutinised.

It's no different to saying "Oh just the small matter of beating the Torys".

                            Sarcasm is dead.

I’m really happy that he didn’t offer any sort of apology. It would have been easy to say “I didn’t mean to offend anyone but apologies to anyone who was offended” or something to that line… but then there’s a story, an admission of guilt. It doesn’t need to be intentional, for it to be racist, etc…

The journalist was just being a cunt.

The word Klopp was looking for was sarcasm, not irony. But still the journalist was a ****.

Is the journalist British or foreign?
