Was thinking similar Dalglish was the last shock managerial departure we had.

Where we had been for the 25 or so years before he came in it feels I imagine the parallel is more like when Shankly stepped down - I'm not old enough to remember it but I remember seeing video of people's reaction

In a way I am happy for Klopp for him to be able to go out on his own terms. Actually not in a way, I am happy full stop he can do that.

He gets to walk a beloved character, a much respected character that none of the fanbase wants to see go.

He gave us his all, we reaped the rewards of his all, and now he gets to walk off into the sunset because he wants and needs to and not because results were going south.

Classy way to go out in any sport or walk of life, and very appropriate given the man in question.

It has not been since the run of Shankly, Paisley, Fagan and Dalglish (first time) that we have seen a LFC manager leave with pretty much 100% of the fanbase still behind him.


Whether Jurgen manages another club again matters not a jot to me, what he gave me as a supporter of the club is what counts for me. I got to see another great lead the club on and off the pitch. I got to see a man who was more than just another football manager show real character at all times.

No matter if the times after Klopp are great, good or bad, we all have had the Klopp era to dine upon and that will keep us going until someone else makes us believe again.


Plus we still have the rest of this season to look forward to and to savour.

Xabi obvious replacement but he himself might think too early at this stage, might make more sense in a few years and not been the one straight after Jurgen.

Anyway hope it is him. But Klopp completely irreplacable really and have to think it's health related despite what he says in his statement. The prospect of City finally getting punished and all the brilliant young players we have, Klopp 2.0 team just getting started

Yep agreed with this - one of the all time great Liverpool and Premier League managers, especially when you consider who he was competing against

League would look just like France and Gerrmany if it wasn't for Klopp
