I did wonder how the TV audiences compared on Sunday [ame]https://twitter.com/JamesPearceLFC/status/1792842119649845451[/ame]
    Oh I don't know.

Having all that fanfare definitely distracted from the fact our season fell away.

I was so focused on our full time celebrations, it was 20mins before I even thought about who had won the League.
      Modifying post.

Didn’t even think about it especially when they put the scores up during the game that city had scored early. We’ve all been there and knew exactly what was going to happen no matter how much anyone tried to talk up any last day excitement.

Harvey's 'mascot' is taller than him!

It seems that, if you want to be a professional footballer, you need to be OK with getting hugs from sweaty men. That's why I became an actuary.

It’s been noticeable just how impressive the video production quality of the club’s output is these days. Obviously, there has been a lot of preparation but the execution has been slicker than snail snot.

I remember reading this post at the time and dreading it, Shaggy. We knew from the beginning we'd have to go through it, too, one day. The reality is just as sad as we all feared.

Sorry to add silly personal stuff, but he arrived at Liverpool just after I moved to Seattle. Now we're heading back to Ireland in July with a 7 year old kiddo (who's growing up way too fast) just as Jurgen leaves and the timing of it all feels heavy. The end of an era of life. All the football bound up in the other stuff that was happening at the same time. The end of the best part of a decade of 4:30am alarms on the weekend to catch the match. Blocking off the work calendar at lunch to watch the European games. Even through the most gutting losses I can remember it was all just different because of who he was and what he was building. It's bizarre how much personal identity we attach to this thing and to him. Anyway, I'm just so very sad that we're already here. It feels way too soon.

Nothing silly about the personal stuff mate. And regarding the gutting losses, I know exactly what you mean as I always thought to myself it’s ok there’ll be other opportunities, and there was. And I’m hoping there will be again in the not too distant future.

Cheers, SB! Here's to that hope, even if I can't quite get arsed about next season and transfers and improvements and all the usual stuff just yet!
