I guess he doesn't really understand how derbys go and how important they are to fans.

Of course we dominated. They were happy to let us have it. We hardly forced a save from the keeper.Originally posted by kemm1 View PostHe is. Second half of the season last season we physically fell apart. We dominated the game today.
My issue is going full strength at home to a **** Russian team and once again not giving the league our priority.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

I understand your point completely. I'm just saying that I'm assuming Klopp is trying to prevent what happened the second half of last season. I also think if Sam had attackedfrom the off even against this team he would have been picked apart. We are complaining because of a pass that Mane didn't make and a poor referees decision, otherwise we totally controlled the game.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostOf course we dominated. Agreed. But when a manager picks a weakened team in a Derby, he leaves himself open to flack if the result isn't 3 points. Dropping points against these and Newcastle is unforgivable.Originally posted by kemm1 View PostI understand your point completely. We bossed the game from the start, were wasteful with out chances and the ref gifted them a goal. I know the starting line up had people scratching their heads but I find it hard to lay this result on Klopp. If Mane had passed instead of fluffing his lines we'd have smashed it and everybody would be hailing him. Fine margins indeed.
As to the point about prioritising the league; have we forgotten how fell apart in the league after NY because the players were out on their feet? We didn't have European football last season to boot. I think using the squad in this was is prioritising the league - especially when you consider when the next CL game is.It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.

at the overreaction on here.
We completely dominated the game and conceded on a ****ing fluke. Oxlade-Chamberlain had an excellent game in midfield where we had complete control against a team completely devoid of any ambition. I thought they would come out a bit more attacking in the second half but they still camped deep.
Klopp has been managing the team and rightly so. Should have been enough to win us the game completely today and the decision making from Mane at the end of the first half makes does seem to have cost us.
We're still good and I liked the performance of Robertson who I thought was excellent today. Are we winning?

Can't a disagree with that. My point is I understand what Klopp did and I don't have an issue with it, but I don't disagree with your points either.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostAgreed. If we had played badly then I would have said Klopp **** the bed but we owned that game from start to finish.

I think that's why he played Milner and Henderson for extra grit/fight.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI guess he doesn't really understand how derbys go and how important they are to fans.
We've had two of the softest pens ever given against us in the last few weeks, you can't legislate for that.Modifying post.

Dominate possession against a deep lying team, don't create enough chances. It's almost as if you've forgotten that this is a long term problem for us, or are willfully ignoring it. They knew it, which is why they showed absolutely zero ambition.Originally posted by Fredo View Post
