It's very easy to say Coutinho is the best player at the club, but during pre-season and his two competitive games so far, Mane looks miles above him.

Everyone plays better when Mane is on the pitch, and THAT is the sign of a top class player. Pace, power, skill, workrate. Brilliant.

Need to wrap him in cotton wool.

Who else’s heart sank when he went down holding his shoulder last night?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

he picked himself up pretty quickly though and shrugged it off.

I've also been pretty impressed with his work ethic which is not something I knew about - 2nd half, he gave the ball away and chased across the park closing down until their defence where forced to go backwards.

Looks the real deal doesn't he?

I honestly think he's the quickest player I've ever seen.

Aye, my brother said the same, but I was on the phone to the Samaritans, I still expected the worst.

yeah great ability to stand a man up and go one way or the other. bamboozles defenders.

His acceleration is what sets him apart. He goes from standing still to top speed in a flash. Leaves defenders for dead

I didn't really want him and it was mostly because of a game against Man United last season. He was very eye-catching in his pace and nuisance value but he spurned about 3 or 4 glorious chances and it really pissed me off.

Only one game but I saw him enough last season to incorrectly conclude he was one of those erratic speed merchants who has no idea what he's about to do. Amazing how much better he looks here, surrounded by better players - and his work rate is unreal. He was tracking back in the last minute last night, he's always back defending, and he's so fast and direct - explosive from a standing start.

Him and Sturridge in tandem, with Mane doing much of Sturridge's running, could be ****ing deadly.

Clyne and him seem to have a great understanding as well, so early. One pass from Mane to Clyne (might have been for the assist) was done without looking, i don't know if it was a shout but it was pleasantly surprising all the same.

If only the left side looked as good.

A speed merchant with an end product?!!?

Very early days yet but he's looking like a fantastic signing. Stick him in the team and we instantly look more dangerous.

What an upgrade on Sterling (so far). I had serious doubts that this was going to be another costly disaster, but he's thriving so far. That weight of wearing Liverpool's famous #19 shirt doesn't seem to bother him so far, he's confident isn't he?

I like how absolutely furious he gets if a pass doesn't get to him- he looks at the passer with such disgust.

I've been surprised at how good of a passer he is, during pre season & so far competitively he has picked out some cracking balls.

Hes a cold blooded killer. Totally ice cool. Hope he finishes chances well, because he's going to get a **** load of them when we hit our straps.

If Klopp signed a deep playmaker (Pirlo, Xabi type) he'd be even more lethal.

Sadio is gonna get better with us with top class talent around him playing better because of the options he gives to them...will be like Suarez giving us that feeling of invincibility again...Wondered if we had him at Burnley, would have had them falling over themselves as being too tight on the two banks of fours they had!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!
