Great player for LFC, the best I have seen on our left flank since Digger, but, as with Wijnaldum and many others, it appears the parting of ways were timed just right.
Interesting. Time will tell I guess if he drops off a cliff like Wijnaldum did. If so it would appear the club can sense when a player is due a decline?

Just looking at his season for Bayern; he scored 5 goals in his first 6 games. So he had a good start. Since then he's had 4 games (and one 9min sub appearance) without scoring. Obviously this says nothing about his overall play, but goalscoring-wise it's not that bad?

5 in 10 isn't bad generally....but Bayern are used to scoring about 50 goals a game, so probably not going down well with the locals (Fritz and Helga)

Tough to come in and replace Lewandowski and the number of goals he was scoring. He's not doing badly just not the Bayern numbers they're used to.

        Can see Nagelsmann getting sacked

On paper his goalscoring is pretty decent and he is 3 from 7 in the league. But his overall play looks disjointed and lacking in something.

Hard to put a finger on what it is exactly but on and off the ball he just looks ordinary if that makes sense.

From our own POV, or rather of that of the guys within the club, I am sure they will have all the stats they need on players week in week out that show if a player appears to be physically declining, pressing less, being less accurate with passes, making less sprints or whatever, and that they then have set levels if players reaches on a regular basis or continues to drop below that then that player would be allowed to leave or be sold/contract not renewed after a chat with the player.

Does he play on the left for them? Because the Mane they signed was a striker

Mane was always a hot/cold player for us. He may just be going through dip. He always came back out of them.on fire. And his return is not that bad.

One thing, apart from the knackerdness of the whole squad... Mane's big strength was his acceleration. I think he has hit the age where your ability to go from standing to maximum pace starts to drop off, and I think that is pretty integral to his style. I think he had start to adapt with us in the central role, but I am mot sure how effective he is going to be out wide when he cant move asquick especially as he does not have amazing delivery from wide. He was never a great "winger", but a striker who cuts in from a wide position.

They rotate Mane, Muller, Sane, Gnabry, Coman, Musiala and now Tel across their front 4. Mane had been playing down the middle but also left side. I think Nagelsmann felt having Lewa staying central made them predictable and he wanted fluid rotations up top…. Going well eh Julien

I’m still unsure of Nagelsmann - he seems to complicate stuff unnecessarily

Yeah, for a time I thought he might grow into being a Klopp style manager with similar traits and Philosophies about the game etc.

But more and more he seems to be showing some of the worse traits of Guardiola, not least what seems to be the over thinking of things and trying to be that bit too clever at times when a simpler solution might serve better.

I think like we have seen with our current players, being involved heavily in a side that played so much football last season has taken its toll, I suspect part of it is that he's knackered. Add to that the steeling into a new side and the fact that he has always been a streaky goalscorer, not sure how much of a story it is (that said I haven't watched Bayern this season).
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Maybe Klopp’s system, as it was functioning at its best, made players look better than they are, or would be in other systems. He buys players for their particular abilities to fit specific requirements, and if you don’t use them exactly the same way, you don’t get the same impact from them. Or maybe not.

Yeah I would agree with this, or maybe I wouldn’t.
