The fact that he has played probably 350 games for everton tells you everything you need to know about Everton's team over the last 20 odd years.Originally posted by brightred View PostWho the **** is Leon Osman??_____________________________________

Tidy enough player but clearly bitter
I forgot he played for England
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Honestly don't think the league and other fans are ready for Naby Keita. Flown under the radar a bit. If he settles in and replicates his RBL form he'll improve us exponentially imo. So ****ing exciting.

Was about to post this also
- his first touch, dribbling and passing are ridiculous + he’s only 23. With our front three ahead of him

Although it was frustrating we didn't get him in sooner, it's such a relief to be going into the summer knowing we already have one huge improvement to the first team sorted. If we add even just a first choice keeper and one more to that, it could be ****ing huge. I think for all the short term irritation it has caused, the policy of holding fire until the right player is available has been spot on.Like blood on iron

We've settled for whatever is available rather than what was the best fit for so many years, since Rafa, anyway.
And under him it was completely opposite again. A constant and relentless revolving door of deals which incrementally improved the squad on a relatively tight budget.
There are far fewer signings these days. But they tend to be good ones.Oh I don't know.

That is so true, trading upwards all the time. Eg Sissoko for £5m, getting rid of him when we got Mascherano etc. A glut of 2nd or 3rd choices like Pennant etc.Originally posted by dom9 View PostYeah I agree.

Klopp's hit rate with signings is extraordinarily good. So good going into the summer knowing Keita is in the bag and feeling confident that whatever 2 or 3 others we bring in are likely to be **** hot too.

Josemi, Krompkamp... **** knows. They had storming starts then were whisked out of the door to make way for the next one. Ruthless.
That said, Klopp will hit some duds at some point. But in the meantime, he's the perfect FSG manager. Imagine Guardiola working for them? No chance.Oh I don't know.
