He's been mismanaged since. He'd be amazing again in this Klopp side.
He was a great player when we he had the ball, but often he didnt do the graft when we were pressing.
Some games he did tackle back and it was a revelation to see him putting the graft in, and knowing he could play a better all round game made it even more frustrating when he wanted to walk around letting his team mates do the hard yards.
Too much billy big bollocks and a superstar now, **** him.

Won in 2015 and 2017. Meh.

I was just coming in here to post if he's getting much game time as he was a 90th minute sub today

Not playing much I take it? £100m to Utd next then, he'd really stink the place out there with his lack of work rate

I thought he was brilliant for us and would be ideal for Barca and their style of play.

Just goes to show certain players cant adapt no matter how good they are.

Villa was one of their big successes with his versatility and willingness to sacrifice himself for the team. It helped that he played with the majority of the team with the national squad though

Barca is all about getting the best from Messi and if you can't fit that model you are ****ed. Many big players have bombed -Phil and Zlatan + others have felt the need to go solo Neymar.

Barca's biggest problem is La Masia is not producing the right calibre of player. Messi Pique and Busquests are the only regulars with Roberto playing a bit part. In the past they had to supplement 7/8 first teamers with a couple of stars which they typically recruited well. Now they need to buy full sides and many of those can't integrate with Messi.

When he finally retires they'll be half the side they are now.

It's the same as Zlatan, on paper at Barca he was fine, but it didn't quite click on the pitch. I'm not sure of his goal return, but it was better than 1 in 2 and everyone said he was **** and a flop. They also won the league both times, people are really fickle though.

Regardless, Coutinho is a great player and regardless of what people feel toward him in a personal capacity doesn't change that. We did well to get the fee we did, but as I've said before, would definitely take him back if the conditions were right.

You could say the same of Dembele. Big signing and he’s done **** all. Suarez managed to forge a path, but even then I’m sure he struggled first couple of months until they changed formation.

How do you justify the third biggest transfer fee of all time when you know you aren’t the star player in the team? Tricky.
250 Million for Dembele and Coutinho and not even starters lol

recruitment is **** for Barca , unlike us under Klopp
