Yes. The younger players all seem to look up to him.

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

      Only the U10s though

The only issue can be that he is not satisfied with being on the fringes. He isn't and probably will never be a guaranteed starter for us, and if he wants more time on the pitch then a move is most likely the only way he will achieve it.

TBF, he forced his way into the team earlier in the season and Klopp changed formation to accommodate him. A combination of poor form and injury kept him out of the team, but I'm sure he thinks if he hit top form again, he'll get more opportunities.

Considering where we are as a club at the minute, I'd be surprised if he left for a club like West Ham just for first team football. If it was him forcing the move I could only see it being for a decent European club, or maybe someone like Newcastle, looking to invest heavily. Even at that, I still think he'd be wanting to stay for one more season at least.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

if Klopp signs someone like Werner, then it might dawn on Shaqiri that his game time will be even more limited. Especially if Keita continues to get more effective and Oxlade comes back strong.

However - these are both ifs. In reality we have been lucky with injuries in the last 12 months or so. And there will be a lot of football to be played next season.

Shaqiri has done his stint at Stoke - it is possible that he prefers being at a big club like Liverpool. And it is possible that he will be willing to give it another crack here.

One thing that might sway him would be if say a Spanish club like Valencia or Atletico came in for him. He might like the idea of giving a new style of football a go.

West Ham is another level to Stoke though, a front line of Anderson - Arnautovic - Shaqiri can be a tricky one.

A bit like the 15/16 Stoke one.

                      Happy about this

But speaking after Liverpool’s triumph in the Champions League final, Shaqiri ruled out any exit, pledging his future to “the best club in Europe.”

“I’m at Liverpool FC, the best club in Europe,” the winger told Goal.

“The manager has many good options and has to decide who can play. I knew before my transfer that the competition here is very tough.

“I have a long-term contract and I definitely will stay.”

Excellent attitude. I love him so much. Hope he gets to play more next season too, he's actually a damn good footballer. Looking forward to watching him destroy Portugal tomorrow.

I'm still not sure what's going to happen with Shaqiri, given we're supposed to be offering Origi a new contract, and Brewster's stepping up next season.

He's happy to stay and fight for game time, and I am happy for him to do that. Its a non starter, when he played he looks ok and sometimes brilliant. He is going nowhere, seems to be a good egg to boot

Didn't see it, but the bloke doing the BBC live text for the Portugal v Switzerland game reckoned Shaq was MOTM.

He must have been good if he outshone CR's hat trick. Did anyone watch?
