The other thing with Covid is not just the whole 'death' potential. Particularly in young healthy elite athletes who will be fine, but more the lingering after effects, which could affect young healthy elite athletes from being at 100%. And in elite sport if you are not at 100% you are nowhere.

FWIW.......I think if the winter season becomes a complete and utter ****show, then the PL will be stopped (with a resumption up in the air), internationals will be canned, CL and Euros in the same boat as the PL etc

Did I not hear that RB Salzburg had 3 positive tests and sidelined the team and cancelled international call-ups ?
All I hear is that teams are under a commitment to field a team regardless of positive tests, and perhaps the Austrian setup is different, but its probably a sign of things to come.

All I hear is that teams are under a commitment to field a team regardless of positive tests, and perhaps the Austrian setup is different, but its probably a sign of things to come.

Juventus have just stopped their players from going away on international duty.
