Says a hell of a lot about the rest of our team (except for Salah of course) that Jota is two goals away from being our joint second top scorer in the PL, is our joint top scorer in the CL. He is also only two goals away from being of second highest scorer in all comps and is currently our third highest scorer in all comps this season.
The fact that Minamino is our fifth highest scorer in all comps this season speaks volumes as well about the lack of goals spread through in our team.

I want to see Salah through the middle next game. He is isolated on the wing.
4-3-3 is dead for now.
The return of Diogo gives teams something else to think about.
Thankfully as his goal return shows each season, that is a lot easier to say than do.
We are lucky that his conversion rate improved this season compared to last season otherwise we would be further down the table by now.
Don't think 4-3-3 is dead tbh as it is too flexible a formation. Only reason Salah looks isolated a bit out wide this season is thanks to there being no real threat in the centre up front of us and also Trent being off form behind Salah for a chunk of the season.
Put someone in the centre up front that is enough of a threat that back lines are drawn to him and Salah would cause chaos with the bit of extra space he would get. A genuine threat like that in our team would stop teams from being able to double and even triple up on Salah as often.
You look at our other flank, whilst it does not happen as often as on our right flank, and teams will use our lack of a central threat to double up on Mane as well. But Salah is the one they will nearly always try to double up on be it a midfelder going with the full back onto Salah or the left winger coming back to join the midfielder and full back in having three pressing Salah or a combination of one CB and the LB going at him with the CB being comfortable to go out of position to help double up.
A mobile threat in the centre and suddenly that CB cannot move out to help against Salah and the midfielder going out to help press Salah suddenly has more movement centrally to track as well.
Jota will be a big help for the rest of the season as his runs are really nice. He loves a diagonal run and when he comes in a central position he constantly makes runs across the 18 yard line. That movement will draw defenders in and give Salah (and Mane too hopefully) more room to work in.

I don't think we need to over complicate our approach now that Jota is back. Stick with Mane and Salah where they are and simply put a real solid goal threat in place of Firmino.
Teams will have have to dedicate 2 men on Salah and 2 on Jota all the time. That will leave Mane freer as the least threatening of the three. Where Jota doesn't offer the Dirk Kuyt of Firmino he'll give us the Fernando Torres instead.

That is what I am saying both now and for next season.

With Hendo out and Jota back, will Bobby get a much needed rest, or will he be played as an attacking midfielder behind the front three? I think Bobby and Mane both need a rest, mentally more than physically....Salah however just keeps on going!
