He was on the upper end of that. 140k. The £55k figure was nonsense and has been debunked several times.

He's 28 and clearly looking for his last big pay day. Even with £140k that's a lot less than Salah but comparative to Alexis, etc.

I'd back the club in this instance.

As i've mentioned previously i'm really glad the nonsense about Rodrygo has stopped.
I think he's a worldie. But yeah I think the well has been well and truly rinsed. The Fofana rumours haven't stopped to be fair but there are a lot of suitors for him.

Surely that lad (and I've never seen him play) would be warming our bench whereas he'd be a starter for Everton, Spurs etc.

Speaking of Spurs they may be interested in Elliot after MGW signed on at Forest.

I think Ngumoha is too young still to rely on as cover for a first team role. I'm sure his time will come though. Was wondering actually whether Elliott could fill in there - not sure he has the pace.
        Really?

He doesn't and won't be here anyway come the end of the summer anyway. I don't think Rio is ready either, given he can't buy a drink yet. Rio might be a decent option off the bench, in a clichéd impact sub kinda way.

I suspect that depends somewhat on him. I think he does want to stay. I doubt it would be best for him though.

He'll be 3rd or 4th choice. How much older was Sterling when he was actually first choice or Yamal?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Well they were both young, but I don't think Ngumoha is in the same league as those two at the same age, especially not Yamal.
TBF though, I've not seen him enough to be a fair judge, esp relative to Sterling.

TBH - Diaz got you of your seat more than Salah with him taking some one on, Don't get me wrong I'd love someone that can do that alongside an Isak, pains me to say it but Gordon maybe the one - Cheaper than the Brazillian fell as well.

One other thing, big shift towards European players this year, No Africans or SA linked barring the the Brazillian lad and rumours Ali goes next year to Saudi?

I would be very happy with Gordon but with Isak looking good I can’t see both coming in. And Rodrygo seems unlikely with his big wages.

I like Diaz but give me Gakpo over him. He may not be as exciting but if he didn’t get injured when he did he would have finished with a lot more G/A. He finished the season with four less G/A with a lot less minutes on the pitch. Younger with more room to grow. Happy for him to be first choice with a younger player and potentially Ekitike covering.

It would have been good to have both as they over different things but Diaz clearly wanted to go so I’m happy he gets his move. He’s served the club well and given us his best years.

Happy about Diaz going, he's always had negative baggage with his ungrateful Dad and then the unforgivable Jota stuff

Would've let him go on a free. Get out my claaab

Good player and put up some good numbers but I think we've got a cracking deal here with his age and inconsistency. Talented but such a frustrating player. Most of us would have Cody over him anyways, so to get €75m quid to go towards other transfers is fantastic imo.

Yep that’s a great deal for us & id prefer him to go there than to Barcelona.
