It's showboating. I've seen him at Porto and he rarely did it. Rocks up here and knocks out about five a game. Not sure why.

But yes, it was an incredible rescue tackle, regardless.

I didn't say that. I said i saw him at Porto in the CL and i can't recall doing it once vs us, city or Chelsea.

Maybe Diaz is wired different, so that when he kicks with his right, his head automatically looks right as well, something he can't help now as it's just his nature.

He's clearly using his ears to detect sound waves for the ball.

Side point but Diaz has been really unlucky so far. He's had quite a few shots that were flying in blocked (one by Mane if I remember correctly ).
I don’t think it’s entirely down to luck, he’s created a lot of great chances and plays but been a bit rash when finishing.

I’m sure it will improve once he’s fully up to speed with the pace of the prem.

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I think he was surprised by Lamptey’s aggression early on but once he figured him out he was superb. A mix of skill, grit and ridiculous pace (scorched past Lamptey a few times)

I think he will explode next season once he has a full pre season with us

Think he was a wee bit embarrassed by that (Lamptey), but he was kicked up and down the pitch all match. He took it on the chin though and instead of crying about it, fought fire with fire. First challenge he went in hard, shortly after being clean out himself with no foul against, ref blows up.

Impressive in so many ways today. What a signing.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Just seeing the Sanchez assault there makes me wonder if it was actually worse than dangerous play. If he genuinely went for the ball and thought he could get it he'd have been surprised at the impact, but he seemed to know exactly what he was doing and the spin and glance afterwards was almost reminiscent of Virg against Kepa.

He only has one facial expression and seems to be like the kid that randomly shows up at a kick around and plays everyone off the park!

I reckon we'll see some more Suarez power runs into the box and more goals.

                            He's so impressive!

There's not a single person (opposition fans, clueless commentators, aliens like Garth Crooks) that consider Diaz to be anything other than sensational. Usually when we buy a player it was always comes with a but.

But is VvD really worth the money? But will Salah really be able to handle the PL second time round? Etc
                              One tit for another.
