I would, but he's on something like £300k per week. If he's willing to take a massive pay cut, and to be a squad player rather than a guaranteed starter, bring him home. The mad *******

God no. Even with a massive pay cut he would still be in £150k a week,

He had his time with us and under two managers. Prefer to bring in someone new this summer that can play across the front three. Though I suspect Gakpo, if he stays, will be the back up for Isak whilst Ekitike is out, and also the back up for one of our wingers.

I’d prefer to give some of the kids a go rather than bring him back. I imagine one of the appeals is his work rate but I think we’ll see a massive change it that now Slot has gone.

I think it depends on the options, if the choice is between him and no-one clearly he's the better option. If the priorities are elsewhere and getting him on a free means we can get out long term targets as we doing have to spread the budget too thin it could be a smart move, he's not a long term option though if he were just a short term stand in for Ekitike it might not a be bad shout

Viewed as a long term option I would agree, but as a backup available on a free as a short term option until Ekitike gets fit, I could see the sense in it if it means getting top long term targets elsewhere

e.g. if Ekitike was fit then this summer we are probably looking for 2 forwards (likely wingers) say for arguments sake we are prepared to spend £170m on those players and we want Diomande and Barcola for £100m and £70m respectively (just making up names and numbers here to illustrate the point). Ekitike's injury means that we now need another forward so that £170m has to now be split 3 ways so we end up with neither of our preferred options because we can't afford them, alternatively because we need someone who can play CF we end up with just one of them and someone who is a compromise winger because we also need then to cover CF. In that scenario I would rather bring Nunez back on a free and get our main targets, and move him on when Ekitike gets back.

This might seem nuts for me to say, but on a one year contract as cover, I’m not dead against it. Free transfer, hard worker, quick, can play left or centre, really wants to be here. But, he’s a donkey in front of goal

Put on the wing on a short term contract, definitely on reduced wages. He knows the league, club and what it means to represent Liverpool. 26 on a free. Crazy as it is, I'd say yes. especially if we can't get someone else.

I'd have him back in an instant, never wanted him to leave. He had energy and brought the crowd to life, something we sorely lacked this season. Yes, he could be frustrating, but you knew that he would never stop trying, and he always kept defenders occupied with his movement. As a foil to another striker, I think he could be a valuable asset.

It's a yes from me, too. Will certainly liven up the match day threads, if nothing else.

He became a bit of a pain at the end for us in terms of wanting to play more thank his form suggested. But we're in a bit of a pickle, in we need to fill a lot of holes and the striker one is more of a temporary fix or at least could be while we focus on other areas, such as RB, CM and L/RW.

Going into the wilderness of Saudi may have clipped his wings a bit and we certainly need a striker to share the load with Isak, et al. He may not have proved himself as a starter but he's more than capable as being an impact sub in games.
