He will have a match and a half on his hands against Barney who is an awesome darts player and won the other veriosn of the world title 4 times.
Actually he has, when it was quite good. He won the world championship. Can anybody remember the final against Mike Gregory in the early 90s. Still one of the best darts finals in memory.

You a bit of a darts fan then? You might be able to answer a question for me. Ever hear of a Darts player called Tommy O' Reagan?

I was visiting a grave in Bruree today and noticed his headstone as it had "Former World Darts Champion" on it. The headstone said he dies in 200 at the age of 61.

He won three title in a row back in the seventies. He's Irish too I think.

I know the Irish bit as it is on his headstone. Never knew he won those titles though. Cheers for that.

Loving the darts at the minute, should be a great final tomorrow.
Obviously think the Power will win it, what a fcuking player, the best ever.

Tomorrow should be a great game and hopefully it will be. Recent finals have ever been totally one sided or they have gone down to the wire.

Barneveld has the ability to turn Taylor over but I can't see it happening. I'm looking forward to watching it though.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

I remember that too, it was 6 sets all 5 legs all and down to a deciding winner takes all leg. Gregory missed SOOOO many chances to win it. That was sheer drama, a bit like the Davis/Taylor snooker final in 1985.

Taylor has won the BDO title twice, in 3 years then he moved to the PDC. Even before his first win, he was always the most talented player who no-one wanted to play but then he won his first and the confidence matched the talent.

                  Best game I've ever seen.

Taylor will thrash Barney like he always does. He (Taylor) is by far and away the best player the game has ever seen. By miles and miles.
Like he always does? head to head it is 2 wins each and a draw?.
And the way Barney and Taylor are brushing aside the rest of this tournament, doesnt say much for the general calibre of the overall tournament.
Barney was awesome on the BBC, but he got a much harder time of it on the BBC tournament from what i seen in the past.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Barney won 4-3 against Lloyd. He only won it on the tiebreaker and he was lucky to win it.HE certainly didn't brush aside LLoyd. He got a handy enough draw though with the likes of Part, Mardle, Manley and Priestley not being at their best and going out early.

I don't think there's been a player recently in the BDO to have an average of over 100 during a match, but Mick McGowan lost 4-1 to Taylor with an average of 102.

The semi finals were both a bit disappointing. But this promises to be a cracker of a final.

Lloyd is ranked above Taylor, or was pre to this tournament.
Lloyd is the best of the rest as far as i can see. Have always thought the BBC comp was more entertaining than SKY, not just because of Taylor's dominance but because of the quality of players. If anythign, the sky event has gotten better because of the work sky have been doing of late, it may be the better now because of Barneys inclusion and a few others jumping ship, but it most certainly was not alyways the better competition. ITs all about money now, and sky seemingly are willing to pay for the players.

I could have beaten Barney in that first leg.

I can't stand darts in the pub, but I'll watch it on TV sometimes, they're bloody amazing sometimes!!

I remember seeing something on TV before about a game, and apparently its not good etiquette to finish a game on certain darts or something.. and you could see the two guys calling eachother allsorts under their breath
