Sampras holds that spot for me - For Now anyway
It's such as tricky one, but having grown up watching both I can honestly say I've NEVER been as impressed and blown away as I have watching Federer. I think several times over the last year, including (obviously) vs Roddick he's literally been unplayable

Federer has all the assets of Sampras and Agassi combined. Incredible player, breathtaking to watch him play at times.

I'm unlucky enough to have seen only clips from the Roddick destruction, but as I said in the Aus Open thread, he's the greatest sportsman on the planet today. He plays incessant jaw-dropping shots and he's a ****in joy to watch. Complete and utter control, perpetual motion, elegance and an absolute master of his trade.

He won the final in three straight sets. He didn't drop a set in the seven games.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Gonzalez is in his best form ever and he didn't have a chance.

Federer have now been in seven straight Grand Slam finals and won six of them.

Seen the match. He hasn't broken sweat, apart for a game in the 3rd set. Never seen a player so fluid and so easy on a tennis court. Gonzalez was full tilt and he didn't even make an impression.

                      Yep, awesome wasn't he...young Rog.

The first man to win a Grand Slam without a dropping a single set since Ken Rosewall in 1972. Incredible. 10 Grand Slams now, only four behind Sampras and still only 25.

Yeah! Although he's only 25, he's a bloody legend, isn't he?! I mean, that's the best tennis player I've ever seen! He's even better than that guy... Em... what's his name... Amelie Mauresmo? Or something like that...

There's no way Federer is better than Tim Henman.

My mistake – first since Borg in 78 and the first at the Aussie Open since Rosewall in 72.

                                No mean feat though eh?
