People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Shaggy mate - I know you're on a wind-up mission but come on - they've just wiped the floor with England in the series that mattered.

Jesus. It's just a bit of banter. I'm painfully aware we got stuffed when it mattered - getting up at 3am three times a week for months means that, despite today's win, I'm still annoyed.

Still, you can't beat a frantic run chase for excitement and it's about time we showed some backbone.

i love the fact that ponting would not give us any credit at all

England need to win the World cup to rescind their Ashes shambles not beat the Aussies in a BEST OF 3 series.

The Ashes and the world cup is where it counts

Yes, but winning this series would Finally be a step in the right direction

Having said that, England still have a lot of Hard work Left in this series. Australia are still my Favourites to win the Next 2.

But at least for a period of a few weeks we have looked like we understand the one day game. This is a welcome and somewhat shocking development.

I'm hoping that the series down under is the kick in the backside we needed, we spent all year living off the success of the ashes success. The last ashes series simply proved what the previous away series had hinted at, in terms of how much we had dropped of the pace.

Thought you didn't give a **** about the ODI's Shaggy?

It's finally not an embarassment to be an Englishman in Sydney. Like a sad act I've watched pretty much every minute of the Tests and one dayers and I'm chuffed we're showing we can actually play a bit.

All without our best batsman, one of our best one day bowlers and without our captain. We could be quite formidable in the world cup if we keep this up and get KP, Jimmy Andersen and Vaughan back.

There are 2 games to go are there not? Not time yet to be getting proud.

The 2nd one is tonight (today for you) innit? 3am start our time? If so I think I'm off to bed. It's a ****ter getting up at that time on a Sunday morning but **** it, we don't get this type of opportunity too often.

                      COME ON ENGLAND.

It's been ****ing brilliant. Got up at 5am for this. Just got to make sure we see it through.

Shame it's a tin pot event but it's been a fantastic turnaround in the last week or so.
