After 3 months of enduring Bill Lawry's commentary and his screams of "GONEEEE!!!!" each time an England wicket fell it's nice to be able to shut him up for a bit. Hopefully Mark Nicholas gave him a sharp slap in the chops after we ended the tour on a high.

Can't wait to listen to some commentators other than Lawry/Taylor/Healy. If I had to hear from that lot how brilliant a fielder Andrew Symonds is one more time I think I would have punched a hole in the telly

The Aussies are still a class above. The Ashes proves that. What the ODI series proves is that you can't take your eye of the ball and look to the next comp without winning the current one (Good to see the English push and push hard for the win even when we looked odds on to take the game yesterday).

Hope the Aussie coach eats a bit of humble pie after his "no competition for us out there" comments. Though can't see that somehow

Bothered about the triangular table. If that had mattered they’d have given the tin pot trophy to the Aussies.

We’ve just stuffed them three times on the trot, in ONE DAY INTERNATIONALS! We couldn’t beat the Aussie Blind XI until recently in limited overs, so this is a great turnaround.

Like RC said though, ODIs are ultimately meaningless but regardless of that it’s still fantastic to kick their arses.
