WORLD CUP, GROUP C, ST LUCIA:
        England 26-1 v New Zealand
England made slow progress in the first five overs of their World Cup opener against New Zealand, reaching 12-1 after losing Ed Joyce second ball.

The opener edged a wide James Franklin delivery behind, leaving Ian Bell and Michael Vaughan to negotiate some fine bowling from Franklin and Shane Bond.

England passed James Anderson fit to start despite a broken finger, with Sajid Mahmood and Jon Lewis left out.

New Zealand opted for two spinners, with the start delayed in St Lucia.

Strauss should've played, I've never really rated Joyce as international class.

WORLD CUP, GROUP C, ST LUCIA:
                England 32-2 v New Zealand
England made a terrible start to their World Cup opener against New Zealand, losing Ed Joyce and Ian Bell in the first nine overs in St Lucia.

Joyce slashed at a wide James Franklin delivery second ball, before Bell did the same to Jacob Oram to leave England on 30-2 after being asked to bat first.

Vaughan (18no) was the only bright spot for England, who passed James Anderson fit to start despite a broken finger.

New Zealand opted for two spinners, after a delayed start due to rain.

Vaughan lucky not to get run out there!

You really should wait for the result before gloating

We need one of these 2 to bat through IMO.

NZ are going to score a bucket load of runs on this track
