What do you think of the wickets?

So far I am a bit dissapointed. I wanted fast bouncy wickets with lots and lots of runs. That is what one day cricket is about. Wickets that are tough to score on can be great for Test match cricket, but is not ideal for the one day form.

That middle period of the game is looking really tricky and the slower bowlers are dominating. I want to see runs and ruddy lots of them!

Freddy is also a ****. What was he thinking? It highlights the lack of discipline in the England team that has been around since we won the ashes. The players never seemed to recover from that marathon and very public drinking session. When players are at a world cup they should be trying to keep their bodies in peak condition. Going out on a bender is not going to help. FFS it will all be over in a couple of weeks (for england anyway) and he can have a drink then, couldn't he have just waited?

Senior players in the squad should be leading by example. I am not against the odd piss up, however, there is a time and place and the in the middle of a world cup is neither of those.

Our performance today did nothing to sway me from original feeling that we are going to achieve very little in this world cup. Bowling is too wayward and our batting lacks confidence and consistancy. That does not bode well.

We need to turn things round sharpish and stop relying on last chance saloon partnerships at the end of the innings. We should not have to keep relying and expecting Collingwood to bale us out at the end. The player further up the order have to step up and score big runs. My worry is that, apart from Peterson, they don't have it in them. This is probably partly due to a lack of ability and partly due to confidence.

Bell looks like a great player until he passes 50 and then he goes and gets himself out. He is getting better every season but he is not there yet.

Freddy - mr hot and cold with the bat. You can't rely on Freddy for runs.

The rest - bit part one day players who are not good enough. Play some of the test players for christ sakes. They can't do any worse and they have actually proven they can play on the international stage.

As I thought before the tournament, they're spinners wickets, which is odd for the Windies. The slow/spin bowlers have been having lots of success so far which is why I think Sri Lanka and Murali could make hay.

Disappointing pitches though. I think we all wanted fast, bouncy wickets and lots of runs. Not gonna happen though.

Also, I know it's "only" Bermuda, but get in Sewagh, if a player need a bit score it's him. Hopefully he can push on from here and take on the Lanakans.

So Flintoff did fall off a ****ing pedalo

After leaving a nightclub close to the team's St Lucia hotel, Flintoff got into a pedalo in the early hours and later needed to be rescued after falling off it, according to media reports.

"There's no secret we had a few drinks on Friday. It's been documented in the press what happened afterwards with a little bit of poetic licence," a downbeat Flintoff told reporters at the hotel.

"There was water involved and a pedalo as well. But I don't want to go into detail. I don't think my life was in danger."

More revelations about Friday's antics appeared in British newspapers on Monday, with some witnesses saying the players were so drunk in the nightclub they were kissing each other.
