Thanks for taking me seriously. Now my children don't it's nice someone does.

If they're all going to wear the same colour why did they ever change from all white? Oh yes, to fleece the punters.
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

But you're suggesting to fleece them more by having two sets of jerseys??

I'm suggesting if it mattered they would have two kits. Since they don't bother avoiding kit clashes, it proves it was a marketing gimmick. It's not exactly news but it shows how venal they are.

Of course there would be big changes if you put me in charge of the Cricket World Cup:
            1. It would last 4 weeks maximum.
            2. Australia would be forced to qualify against Iran.
            3. The cricket would be replaced with football.
            4. England would be overhyped and disappoint badly (no change).

Haha. You may aswell move it back a year in it's quadannual occurance and ahve the next one in SA.

Of course it's marketing, I don't see why anyone would have thought it wasn't at any stage. I don't see the problem with it either. Sport is big business and cricket are just trying to catch up.

It's boring though. Next thing they'll be holding some sort of domestic competition throughout the summer to bore the pyjamas off everyone.

Totally agree. More variety in the players jerseys would spice things up a bit.

Quite. Also, one per team should be made to wear fancy dress.

Pieterson is 5/2 to be Englands leading run scorer vs Springboks!! Can anyone see other player outscoring him??

They changed from white because in allot of ODI cricket are day/night games. Under the lights and in the gloom the red ball is too hard to see and so they use a white ball. This meant they had to change the kits because batsment would simply lose sight of the ball in the bowlers clothing.

They also wrongly (IMO) thought colour would 'jazz' the game up

You're first point about the tourney length is a good one and 90% of cricket fans would agree with you.

The rest of your points are the ramblings of a confused individual

Are you impressed? I did my best to answer your points seriously and without sarcasm

Point 4 is also correct. What's more it would be correct even if they adopted Point 3.

Not really but you never know in cricket, which is why I tend to avoid such bets.

That said, I imagine backing KP to be our top scorer in every game in this World Cup would've reaped dividends so far.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Maybe it's just us losers that do?

BTW I took a bet on England to win today
