Was a much improved performance from the lad against a decent fighter. Khan worked on what was sloppy in his last fight, and did the business tonight.

That knck down of Katsidis was ****in hilarious - talk about being 'stunned'. If Earl had the power he coul have finished him after that - that would have been sensational.

Great fight and great courage by Earl

HUGE HUGE respect to Graham Earl

That was one of the most gruelling fights I've seen in ages. I know Earl went down 3 times but some of the shots he took - and then came back - were amazing. Sadly though - I think he's reached his limit. I reckon he should pack in now.

As for Katsidis - he has undoubted power - but at the top level - he'll get stopped by cuter fighters than Earl. Excellent performance last night though.

Missed the boxing at the weekend.
Anyone know if it's being repeated or anything?.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                  * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Yes, but the manner of the knockout was crushing and embarrassing.

Even more embarrassing was hearing him talking of another comeback. He should give it up now. How the hell did he win Olympic Gold - he must have had something there - wasted talent.

IMO he should have gone with Frank Warren from the start of his pro career rather than the novice promoter Colin McMillan.

There is a massive gulf between the paid and unpaid ranks. The scoring system is very different. Many amateurs who have great unpaid careers come to nothing in the paid ranks.
