Neil I take it as a compliment that you count me among the "neocons"

Really? It takes all sorts I suppose.

      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I just wrote out 5 different replies to that and none of them were funny.

Written humour is not among my strengths.

        Bugger it.

Oh, I don't know. The one you eventually posted made me laugh. At you, of course.

Sorry. My previous reply was charmless. I did actually laugh out loud though.

No, no, I found it quite amusing.

Don't worry, I'm well able to detect the intent of a post (well, one written in normal english), even, would you believe it, if there's no smilies.

Ah, I'm trying to remember who the Skins fans on KT were.

Is Redscouser a Skins or Cowboys fan?

                      Mucky?

I like the Steelers too. I like their philosophy and they've got some likeable players.

                              Good, well-coached side.

If Reggie Brown steps up, and Brian Westbrook can play for a season, Philly could be strong.

The only American Football 'match' I watched in full was Lingerie Bowl III.

I see the merits of the game. I'm hoping for rain (and mud) this year.
