both fighters have thrwon 560 punches exactly after 9 rounds and landed 204 & 205 excellent stuff
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

MArquez won that fight for me, but have often seen dodgy decisions in Vegas.
Marquez looked fitter and pushed the fight more so gets my vote.

deserved victory for Marquez, the recent trend of refs in the US of voting in favour of the agressor seems to be really hitting home of late.
would like to see a more ready Barrera coming back for the rematch, in what could be his last fight.
supprisingly Barrera thew and landed more in the fight.

Best fight Ive seen in ages, dodgy scorecards all night in all the fights, how the judges gave such a massive margin is beyond me. Marquez looked the worse off at the end but pushed it the most. Barrera sat back a bit to much for me.

I had it as a draw to be honest.
          Forwards.......

fingers crossed, i really thought Barrera wasnt as well prepared as he should have been though.
If there is a re-match its bound to be anohter cracker, and dare i say it, possibly an even better fight than tonights fight as Marquez now has the confidence and I think there is more from Barrera than he has shown tonight.

I had Marquez winning on points, due to the point deduction that Barrera received. I enjoyed that fight, but wondered about Barrera's conditioning. By all accounts he trained hard beforehand and didn't skimp on anything. His body looks to me to be ravaged by wear and tear, and well on it's way down. His fighting heart, on the other hand, is still beating as fiercely as ever, a bit like have a Ferrari engine in a Ford's shell.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
