hmmmmm....I've not doubt that Calzaghe would have had Manfredo out of there with another few rounds but that fight should never have been stopped there.

Manfredo was overawed by the whole occasion but he definitely wasn't hurt when the fight was stopped. The ref could have given him a standing 8 count.

Clazaghe threw the best part of 25 punches unanswered. No doubt they were not hurting him but Manfred should have dropped to one knee or at least have offered some punches.

Perhaps yeah but the fight shouldn't have been stopped there. The ref could easily have stepped in and called a standing 8 count.

Most of Calzaghe's punches in that final flurry either missed or hit glove. I think a standing eight would have been the correct decision.

Expected a hand injury to force the cancellation of that fight IF terms are agreed.
