Well he's 4 back and bogeyed the last two holes but a guy of Tigers quality could have pulled that back by the times he reaches the tenth tomorrow. It's going to be an interesting masters.

4 back after round one of the Masters is pretty much bang on course. He's been further back than that and won.

Mickelson did well to limit the damage to just +4 after his disastrous start.

Mickelson normally has two drivers in his bag for Augusta but he's dithced them both in favour of a new square headed driver hence the poor start IMHO.

I wonder how long it will be before he resorts back to his old drivers?

Whenever I've seen him over the last year, his driving has been mainly very wayward, which is presumably why he's switched to the new driver - and that hasn't worked either!

I've never liked Mickelson, although when I was younger I did try to model my short game on his. Abysmally.
