Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Big time, the sign of a champion though eh. To be only five off the pace having played not particularly well is a measure of the man. Wouldn't be surprised to see him shoot 68 today.

Rose will win the coveted Green Jacket, after a mighty titanic battle for the lead with Tiger over the last 18 holes, followed by a play-off and Justin wins it on the first hole.

Ordinarily I'd love either Padraig or Justin Rose to win it, but more than anything I want Bradley Dredge to win. I don't play any more but he was the rising star at the two local golf clubs I was at when I first started out, Bargoed and Bryn Meadows. He's a top lad, works ****ing hard at his game and he's come a long way over the last ten years as a result. I'd go ****ing mental if he won it. At five over, three behind the lead, he's in with a shout if the Tiger isn't roaring tomorrow.

Well Tiger is in the final group today and the winner has always come from the final pairing in the past 16 years.

Tiger has never come from behind to win a major.

So that must mean that Stuart Appleby will win

I think Tiger will change that stat about 'never having come from behind to win a major' today.

                    Aye.

But i'd love to see a European win it. And despite the media furore you'd get i wouldn't mind it being Rose. Affable chap.

I'd love to see any of the British/Irish players win it - Harrington, Rose, Dredge. For some reason in golf (and boxing) most Brits seem to forget "hating" each other and we support each other (well I do anyway). I want any Welshman, Irishman (north or south) or Scot to do well.

Witness 35,000 Welshmen last night rooting for Englishman Amir Khan, and a packed MEN crowd in Manchester, roaring Taffy Calzaghe on last year against Jeff Lacy. It makes for a refreshing change, really. I remember going mad when Woosie won the Masters, and Sandy Lyle.

                      Fancy Woods strongly though.

I'd lke to see Paddy win it but he'll need to shoot a 68 to do it and hope that no one like Tiger or Appleby does.

Whoever has an under par round today from the top four or five golfers on the leader board will probably win it.
