    Ufc 69 - 07/04/07

First UFC event since they bought out PRIDE. Obviously too early for cross promotion fights but it'll be interesting to see how much they talk about PRIDE.

Takes place tonight in Texas. No heavyweight fights of note on the card, Couple of very solid middleweight fights.

Georges St. Pierre vs. Matt Serra
    Diego Sanchez vs. Josh Koscheck

I expect St Pierre and Sanchez to beat Serra and Koscheck without too many problems.
Ill be watching out for Roger Huerta, looks a big prospect.
Yushin Okami Vs. Mike Swick should be an interesting fight too.
I expect UFC 70 to be a much better tournament though, some top fighters fighting that night in Manchester.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

i'd love to go scot, got too much happening over the next few weeks, a couple of stag dos and that.
Actually though Rich Franklin and Matt Hughes were on that Fight Card, just seen they aren't, Still though, would be good to see, Cro Cop & Arlovski and Bisping for the home fans.

Am looking forward to seeing the best of the Pride camp fighting the bet of the UFC camp.
Wonder what way they will do it though?. Will it be a one off meeting once a year between the top of the two, or will the two be mixed together from now on in a bix mix between the two.

yeah that would be a good one alright, as would Arlovski V Crocop.
Id like to see Chuck fighting a fully mentally prepared Wanderli Silva.
I think the lighter weights of Pride would be blown away by their UFC counterparts though.

                  Guys,

Noticed tickets are available now for UFC fight club members. Does anyone have or know the pre-sale password?

                  Cheers.

So is there a UFC tour in the UK?

I know they are fighting in Manchester on Saturday night but i thought that was a one off.

Just checked the UFC website and there is no mention of a UK tour.

Just heard Dana White on Radio 5 live saying they are coming to the Odyssey Arena in Belfast in June so I assume its part of a wider tour..........
