          night full of upsets for me.
          Everyone I thought would win lost with the exception of Heurta, who was pushed all fight.
          It just confirms the sport as the most un predictable around.
          Was very supprised at how Serra won, as I thought of him as more of a ground specialst, but to know such a great striker out like St Pierre goes to show how much he has come on, how well conditioned he was, how hard he has trained and how much he wanted to win.
          No doubt as nicey says, the classless Matt hughes wil be rubbing his hands at the prospect of meeting Serra.
          Cant wait to see some pride fighters fight in the octagon or even the ring against the UFC guys.
          Sanchez was a huge disspontment, really expected him to bring it on. Hope josh Coscheck doesnt ever get the belt either or we are in for some boring fights ahead.

                That guy is such an utter prick and a brutal fighter to watch, Hes a fecking wrestler pretending to be a Mixed Martial Artist, he always says he is going to stand up and never does. When he tries he goes to sleep.

                I would love to see someone really knock 5 shades of **** out of him. A complete and utter tosser.

                Sera hates him, but Hughes would probably spank Sera quite easily. Who knows , but it would be a **** fight as are all Hughes fights. I respect him for what he achieved in the sport but everytime he opens his mouth he shows just what a imature, classless hick he really is.

                That fight with the two Mexicans was very special, the guy who won is a champion and not any old champion either he will plough through for me what is the toughest division in the sport the Lightweights, nearly every fighter is a contender.

                Coscheck is another wrestling jock you can tell by the complete and utter lack of class also. Give him his dues he has picked up some decent boxing skills. Deigo S and boring ground and pound specialist who takes people to the fence, to the ground and rains in punches till the ref stops, I am glad he got beat.

                The other fight on the under card with the two ex Ultimate fighterss Jesuse the guy who lost is a fecking joke, he always gives it the hard man, you can punch me in the head and I will still keep coming routine and surprisingly he always loses, 5 more fights with that inventive style of his and he will have permbrain damage ..

                  agree with most of that, apart from I wanted Sanchez to beat Coscheck, as you say, Coscheck is another classless person and yes a jockstrap. I don't mind him winning, but leave it out with the 18-1 crap about DS's record. To be totally honest, that was the first boring fight I have seen Sanchez in.
                  Roger Huerta should be a formidable opponent, if my memory serves me correctly, he is from the same camp as Matt Hughes, which is possibly a reason why he is so eager to ground and pound. But with arguably a better stand up than Matt.

                    Best fight on that card was easily the lightweight fight. Altho the almost ghey love-in at the end irritated me slightly. I bet my left testicle the winner would not have been so gracious in victory had he been unsure if he had won or indeed lost the fight.

                    Im pleased Coscheck won that fight, It will make Sanchez a better fighter in the long run. Next time they meet, Sanchez will turn him over, easily.

                    Serra winning was a shock but everone has a punchers chance of winning. I have alot of time for GSP and hope he gets the title back soon.
                    As for Hughes, you could just see "sweet, makes my job of getting my title back a whole lot easier" running through his head.
                    I hope n pray GSP gets a rematch before Hughes gets a shot.

                        Watched Pride 34 last night, the fights were great and the fighters are far more respectful. Well worth getting hold of, though, as has been mentioned, the Huerta v Garcia fight in the UFC was awesome.

                          I was a little disappointed with it if I'm honest, Garcia had plenty of spirit and determination, but had no stand up game except for a wild lunge now and again. Huerta should become a big star though.

                            I agree, don't get me wrong, when I say it was an awesome fight, I don't mean that it was technically. The fact that Garcia took so much and never gave up was what sets the MMA scene apart from other combat sports. Huerta must be one fit mofo to keep swinging the way he was.
