I think that although Fletcher is certainly a very good coach we need a fresh approach. ODIs are gaining in importance and he has had very little impact in that form of the game. I think that both parties would benefit from a change.

The trouble with Fletcher is that he is an habitual criminal who accepts arrest as an occupational hazard and presumably accepts imprisonment in the same casual manner. However, if he has learned his lesson I think he should be freed.

IMO the Death of Bob Woolmer will affect England Cricket more than any other country. He was very likely to take over the England job and his passion and knowledge was just what was required.

I would suggest keeping Fletcher as 5 day coach and hiring a specialist one day coach. The current Sri Lanka coach will be a Good place to start Looking

Got to go, but not just him Vaughan and the other failures as well. An opener, at least another pace bowler and a decent medium pacer (like Kallis, or Andrew Hall) need to come in, this could be Bopara though.

Only Collingwood, Flintoff (rough patch for him at the mo), Pietersen, Mahmood and Panesar can be assured of places right now. Bopara should be given an extended chance also. Bell had a decent run at 3 before the world cup and so I would probably keep him as well, but he blows hot and cold.

In terms of coaches Tom Moody is a very good coach and has played and coached in England I believe. Woolmer would have been good, but according to Boycott he was starting an academy in South Africa and wanted to be closer to his family there (make his situation all the more sadder)

I hope you do only mean as captain.

It's his lack of selfishness that is causing his poor game. Granted he has never been the best ODI batsmen, but how can someone go from the number 1 batsman in the world, in Australia, to the form he has shown since he got the captaincy.
