Hello D'Oliveira
Reece.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Firstly, let us see the bowlers.
I would like to open bowling with Dennis Lillee and Michael Holding. They will be followed by Joel Garner and Muttiah Muralitharan.
I will have all-rounders Greg Chappell and Jacques Kallis to bowl out the remaining overs.
When batting, I would like Gordon Greenidge to open with Sachin Tendulkar. I will then have Adam Gilchrist, Viv Richards and Zaheer Abbas to follow.
Now you know my team. It is:
Gordon Greenidge
Sachin Tendulkar
Adam Gilchrist
Vivian Richards
Zaheer Abbas
Greg Chappell (Captain)
Jacques Kallis
Dennis Lillee
Michael Holding
Joel Garner
Muttiah Muralitharan
A 12th man may be needed in case one of the players can not play. I will have Chris Gayle for that role.
How is this team ?
As openers, I would like Sachin Tendulkar go there along with Gordon Greenidge.

Adam Gilchrist
Sanath Jayasuriya
Robin Smith
Steve Waugh
Viv Richards
Clive Lloyd
Wasim Akram
Malcolm Marshall
Ian Botham
Shane Warne
Curtley Ambrose
Difficult task this, I tried to pick the most destructive batsmen I've seen in one day cricket plus great bowlers who could bat a bit. There are so many great bowlers so seperating them is difficult, so I picked them on batting ability.
Curtley got in there because Marshall and Curtley are simply the most accurate dangerous bowlers I think I've ever seen and rank way above McGrath on top form. Hadlee was another difficult one to leave out. The spinner was an easy choice for me, Warne. Accurate, dangerous and can bat. Murali (whether you thing he throws it or not) still puts in a few long hops now and then and can't bat for toffee.
Found it hard to leave out Tendulkhar, Lara and Alan Border. Border was so good at keeping the score ticking along without playing crazy shots. I remember him batting with the tail for about 30 overs against England needing over 5.5 an over and he just nudged it around. He didn't play any aggressive shots and they won easily.Originally posted by Gordon Brown
