he is still a ****** though
I bet aswell, if this fight was offered to him in the states in say Vegas against an American fighter, there is a big big chance he would have turned it down.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Joe to win, either ref stops the fight after a superb Calzaghe show in rounds 7-11 or a landslide points victory.

Theres no doubting Kesslers ability or heart but it would be a huge shock if he even came close to de-throning Joe.

Not at all Calzaghe has 2 maybe 3 big fights left in him and he wants to fight anyone, everyone thinks Warren has stage managed Calzaghes career and made him fight nobodies but the big fighters have been scared to fight against Calzaghe.

I am entitled to an opinion, if you dont like it fine, no need to be like that with me for having an opinion. Part of the post was tongue in cheek where I called Warren(Frank) a ******.
As for Calzaghe, 21 or 22 title defenses, and he has never fought outside of the UK. Some people will blame Frank warren, and I largely agree. But I als think Calzaghe want to keep his title as ong as he can by fighting from the UK all of the time.
Hatton on the other hand told Frank Warren exactly where to go, and went to the states himself to cement his name in boxing folklore by taking on all challengers.

I think this might be the night Joe becomes an "old fighter". I don't want to bet against Calzaghe but Kessler, from the limited amount of times I've seen him, is a monster. He's got a good solid jab and will try to break Calzaghe down from the outside.

I might actually go down to the fight.

Also Frank Warren has sold the rights to all his future fights to setanta so it looks like I'll be keeping my sub going.

I don't know the ins and outs of all the deals that have been placed in Calzaghe's lap, but it certainly feels like he has taken the easy route alot in his career. As I said in another post, 22 odd title defenses and he has never fought in the major league territory of boxing (USA).
I would think warren had alot to do with it, but at the same time, Calzaghe could have put more pressure on him.

I wasnt impressed with calzaghe's last fight, despite his win, he looked ery sloppy to me, he should be more motivated and better prepared for this next fight though. I think your hunch may be right about him becoming an old looking fighter too.
I will deffo be keeping the setanta package going or a while, especially now that they have the LFC channel on there free too in September
