Thanjk you.

I don't know the ins and outs of all the deals that have been placed in Calzaghe's lap, but it certainly feels like he has taken the easy route alot in his career. As I said in another post, 22 odd title defenses and he has never fought in the major league territory of boxing (USA).
I would think warren had alot to do with it, but at the same time, Calzaghe could have put more pressure on him.
You are stating pure speculation, It may feel like Warren doesn't want Calazaghe to fight 'big' fighters but I can tell you that you are wrong, Calzaghe is prepared to fight anyone and has never refused to fight anyone. He wants to fight the best to prove he is the best but they have constantly dodged him to fight lesser fighters leaving him to fight whoever is available. The problem is that America runs boxing and the majority of money in boxing is in America and the American public would rather see a tear up between 2 yanks than see one of their champs get beaten by a brit. Thats a fact.
Whatever Warren may be he's not stupid, he's been the top promoter in British boxing for years and he wants his fighters to be the best they can, just look at Hatton since he left Warrens camp not exactly setting the world alight is he?

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Did you watch Hatton's last fight?
Personally, I have even more admiration for Hatton since he left Frank Warren, how can you not like. He has gone to the states, even moved up a weight division, and fought anyone who has been put in front of him. now he is calling out Mayweather, A five weight undefeated world champion. Hatton wants to go down in history, and yes that means conquering the states.
If Hatton goes on the way he is at present, he will be remembered more than Calzaghe will be.
Don't get me wrong, I like Joe, I just think he could have done his career more justice by going to the states to fight.

Yeah fairplay he's fighting in Vegas but his performances have been woeful
His last fight was class, arguably his best performance alongside the Costya Su (spell?) fight. The fighters he has fought have all been bigger stronger men too, the top fighters in the states are fighting at a different level.

I like Hatton I just think he's totally over rated.
And yes I watched Hattons last fight and it was his first decent fight since Kosta Tszyu. I also watched the Urango, Collazo and Maussa fights previous to that which were a shambles and he was very lucky to win, If he does fight Mayweather then he certainly will go down in history because Mayweather will annihalate him.
Believe me Calzaghe will fight anyone put infront of him, I'd personally like to see him step up and fight Clinton Woods but that'll never happen.

Are you sure? Against Urango when Hatton was ****ed from round 9 onwards and threw about 6 punches in the final 3 rounds because he was clinging on so much.

Calzaghe will fight whoever warren puts in front of him

Oh yeah that was a great fight.
Hatton fought Castillo is his last fight, Urango was the fight before. Surprised you missed that one actually.
He stopped him early in the fight with a savage body shot that had the American commentators creaming themselves.
Beating up Castillo, a real tough Mexican all the way up to the knock out.

I was just reading about Warren saying Calzaghe will almost defintley fight Mikkel Kessler on November 3 in Cardiff . Iv not seen Kessler fight, what does everyone think, could he beat Calzaghe.

I didn't miss anything, I thought you were talking about the Urango fight as I had already stated the above.
And as for Castillo he's hardly a fighter at his peak, he's on his way out and this was one of his final pay days. He's had serious problems meeting weights, was banned for a year from fighting below 140lbs his fight previous to Hatton against a nobody was woeful and he just got a split decision. If Hatton had fought him and beaten him in 4 rounds 2 or 3 years ago then that would've been a great win but these days Castillo is a nothing fighter. Fairplay Hatton was busy and won but if he fights Cotto, Cintron or Mayweather he will be ****ed.
