    its hard to tell

both have been relatively sheltered by their promoters.

but calzaghe has fought much better opposition and has really fast hands.

manfredo jr said calzaghe didnt hurt him but it looks very impressive to the judges

joe also has a good chin and great ring intelligence.

kessler looks the part but joe is by far the best he has ever fought with and he might have a stamina problem in later rounds
Im only on here for silly season

the rest of the time im too stressed

And as for Castillo he's hardly a fighter at his peak, he's on his way out and this was one of his final pay days. He's had serious problems meeting weights, was banned for a year from fighting below 140lbs his fight previous to Hatton against a nobody was woeful and he just got a split decision. If Hatton had fought him and beaten him in 4 rounds 2 or 3 years ago then that would've been a great win but these days Castillo is a nothing fighter. Fairplay Hatton was busy and won but if he fights Cotto, Cintron or Mayweather he will be ****ed.
Sorry about the confusion, anyway I did state I was talking about his last fight.
Anyway, I am not doubting that the likes of Mayweather, Cotto etc would beat Hatton. What I am saying is that Hatton had the courage and the desire to go over to the states, practically basing himself there, to take on all comers so he can cement his name along side the great fighters he grew up adoring. That says a lot his character, he could have easily stayed fighting out of the UK taking easier fights. I respect Hatton for that.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

      * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

His fights have hardly been against top fighters though and he's struggled, he'll always be a legend as a man of the people and everyone will forget his limitations as a boxer..He could've stayed here and fought Witter but he bunked that fight saying he didn't need Witter then he fights against lesser fighter than Witter in the states!! Unless he beats someone like Mayweather or Cotto I don't think he should ever be classed as a great fighter

Sorry to chip inon someone elses conversation, but on the one hand you seem to be saying that Hatton and Calzaghe need career defining big fights, while on the other saying they should fight Woods and Witter. Do you honestly rate Woods and Witter that highly?

I would see those fights as pretty meaningless as Hatton and Calzaghe are way above that level. They've already proven they are the best in the world at their natural weights, and are/should be looking for the mega fights to test themselves against the true greats. It's like Froch calling Calzaghe out - I'm a big supporter of Froch, and think he could go a long way, but realistically there would be nothing for Calzaghe to gain in fighting him now.

I was just saying I'd like to see Calzaghe fight Woods thats just a fight I would enjoy watching as I like good brit v brit fights, as for Hatton my point was that he ignored Witter to fight lesser opponents in America.

                lesser opponents in America.
I think we have a difference of opinion on that one. Hatton in my opinion would make short work of Witter. Also, Hattons last few opponents would arguably beat Witter. One of those things we will never know though unless they get it on, and we can only speculate.

Hatton would have Witter out of there in 8 rounds maximum.
