        Team News:

Vaughan still might make the first test even though he has a broken finger according to Yorkshire chief Martyn Moxon.

KP is a doubt after tearing a calf muscle.

Trescothick has ruled himself out atm, saying he is not ready yet.

        Obviously no Lara for Windies

        Sarwan is their new captain.

England should really beat a poor West Indies side (sorry Marcus)

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I used to watch the live American Football a lot on Sky - I picked up the rules and some of the tactics as I went along but I never understood some of the more arcane, Kenneth Williams-y terminology.

I also used to watch a lot of cricket.

I find both pretty boring now.

                  The Giro starts tomorrow.

Unless the West Indies and India show a radical change in attitude, England should walk all these competitions.

It will be interesting how the West Indies do without Lara

Cycling is even more Boring. Too much doping going on to make it a decent sport

There is too much doping. I think things are beginning to change at last.

However cycling is not boring. I realise I am probably alone in this opinion.
