England's netballers stunned world and Commonwealth champions New Zealand with a fine 50-45 victory in Manchester.
England led 29-20 at half-time and held off a strong fightback to seal only their second ever win over the Kiwis.
Coach Marg Caldow said: "The team has been training hard, but it's fantastic that they have now put it into practice in a match.
"It was the sign of a really classy performance that, when the pressure was on, they stepped up another gear.
Louisa Brownfield top scored for England with 22 goals while Kiwi shooter Irene Van Dyk hit 37 from 38.
