That was the best MMA Event I have ever seen and I have seen them all. Quality all the way through. Anybody writing Chuck off is a little off the mark, that said you could see it in his eyes just as you could with Matt Hughes, Rich Franklin and Silvia. All 3 fighters dominant in there divisions well Matt and Rich where but there comes a time especially in this sport when your times up. Thats the nature of MMA no matter how good you are you can always get knocked the **** out if your not carefull..

Ortiz has got to be thinking he has a shot at getting the title back now.
Liddel knew Ortiz's game inside out as they used to be training partners, fightwise Ortiz is an unknown quantity to Jackson.

Ortiz will be moving heaven and earth to get a shot regardless of the no show boxing saga. IMHO that was just a PR stunt.

If UFC are savvy they'll have the Henderson vs Jackson match fight Lidell.
Or they could have the winner an Ortiz vs Lidell match against the winner of the Henderson vs Jackson match.

Henderson is a machine, he will plough through both Jackson and Liddel like a hot knife through butter. Jackson is a good fighter though in Pride he was more known for his Heroics than his fighting, he had got a lot better recently. Dan Henderson is just world class all round, he holds two belts at Pride and he'll soon hold three and hold them for a long time.

Whilst I love Chuck's style if you figure out a way around it, he has no plan B. Chuck is all about knock outs and take down defense

Still The UFC is getting better and better. I have notice and lot more focus on Stand up fighting which we all no the crowd loves. I think Dana must of sent a Memo out.

Your quite right, he shouldn't be he's a draw. Ortiz knows full well he can't beat Lidell, but i reckon he thinks he can take Jackson.

Thing is everyone was saying the same things about Cro Cop when he first turned up, didnt go to plan for him, whats so different about Henderson??

His ground game is strong enough.
Franklins main strength though is infact his raw strength and conditioning, I dont think I have seen a fighter in the UFC so strong for their respective weight divisions.
I have noticed you are getting into the UFC more of late.

I have seen ever single UFC event all 71 of them and every single Pride Event plus some K1 and king of the rings for good measure, bit of a MMA Nutter. Love the sport.

The fact is Pride and UFC are one organization now, the standard of Fighters coming through the UFC of late has got a lot better. I like both promotions, they both have to pros and cons. At one stage UFC was getting a little like Olympic wrestling, but of late there have been some really great fights.

As for that bollox Cro Cop getting Knocked out its the nature of the sport, does not make him in anyway less impressive
