No ifs and buts, what I am saying is despite all that Imran is still the better player and had a more successful career. He still has a better record - see above.

Sobers was obviously best.
It reminds me of that great quote.
Tony Greig (marvelling at Steve Waugh's performance in a test match): "Surely he's the best all-rounder in the world!"
Ian Chappell: "He's not even the best all-rounder in his family.".
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

All I can "see above" is Botham taking more wickets, scoring more runs, scoring more hundreds and scoring more double hundreds. Imran Khan double hundreds: ZERO.Originally posted by looprevil View PostNo ifs and buts, what I am saying is despite all that Imran is still the better player and had a more successful career. Botham got injured too you know.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

We are talking about analysing a career once it is over lad, not while they are still playing - is that hard for you to understand? Or is it just hard to swallow that a Pakistani cricketer could be better than Englands greatest?"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

Or maybe it's the other way round...Originally posted by looprevil View PostWe are talking about analysing a career once it is over lad, not while they are still playing - is that hard for you to understand? It's a futile debate so there's no need to get p***ed off about it.
They were both very good players.

Could well be. I could not stand the bloke for years - he hated Pakistan and was a racist as far as I was concerened. My opinion of him has changed though, as has his of Pakistan.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostOr maybe it's the other way round...
