How about the Callaway X-20 Tour or TaylorMade R7 TP (Select Fit System)

I'm not sure I like the look of the Callaway X-20 Tour. Before I bought my set I always used blades however the pro series were a nice looking cavity back. I think after the x-14's the Callaway's went too chunky and I don't like the look of them when I stand over the ball. Taylor Made are nice but I thinking of looking at more of a blade club for my next set.

I need a new driver first I've got a Callaway ERC2 at the min but I need to upgrade I'm thinking of the new cleveland one.

Cleveland HiBore? Good driver. I test drove the TaylorMade Burner, regular flex shaft, I like. Its more suited to beginners rather that very low handicappers like yourself.

You can't go wrong with that mate Tayloe Made make good drivers. I bought the Cleveland utility club and it goes miles one of the lads at the club I play at has given me a smack with his Cleveland driver a couple of times and it really is the dogs.

I've replace my 5 iron and 5 wood with the TaylorMade Rescue club. Love it

I remember when it wasn't cool to have utility clubs. I had a 1 and 2 iron and they are the hardest things in the world to hit. My Cleveland one rocks and I wouldn't swap it for anything.

I'm using Callaway X-14 pro series at the min. I haven't been playing much over the past couple of years but I've really started to play a lot again and want to try and get to scratch by this time next year. I need to invest in some new clubs really but I'd need to get measured up first.

Practice mate that's all it is.

I've always been good at driving and long irons but poor on my distance control on my short irons.

All I did was practice and practice mate that's the key.

Stiff shafts What's the difference between stiff and regular flex?

I have a set of wilson beginners atm, wouldn't mind keeping with wilson, are these value for money?

Stiff shafts

You can get different flex of shafts in your clubs. Most sets have regular shafts but most low handicap golfers like a bit of a stiffer shaft (oooo eerrr) as they swing a bit harder and don't want much bend in the shaft on their down swing.

Are you using blades or cavity back irons? I've invested in set of Taylor Made irons (R7 XD). Love them, very forgiving and great fro beginners like myself.

Whats the difference between cavity back or blades? I got myself a set from Bay Hill (my first clubs) and I really like them, though my golfing buddy is using Taylor Made (passed down from his dad) and they are really sweet but out of my price range as it is.

I go once or twice a week and I´m looking forward to the missus going a short break next month = Golfing three times a week The course is just at the end of my street so I can just walk over. I´m seriously bad though, first time I have touched a club was this spring, don´t have handicap yet. I can´t be using new balls as the course is bit challenging with loads of water, have to get a cross roughly 200 metres creek in the last hole, probably spent a small fortune on golf balls there

I may not be technically correct but cavity backs have a broader sole, larger sweet spot and allegedly a high MOI (moment on inertia). Blades do not. Probably talking ballocks now. Pacman wld be in a better position to advice

Is about right.

Put in simpler terms cavity backs have a cavity at the back of the club and blades don't.
