I've got the final round of one on Wednesday and I'm in 5th at the min.

I played in a big comp on Saturday at a par 72 lynx course (in the top 50courses guide in the UK). It was ****ing lashing it down and blowing ****ing hard. I shot an 81 and it was the best 81 I'd every shot. On the back nine I hit Driver to 2 par 3's and on 2 par 4 fours I hit driver, 3 wood 5 iron. I don't know where I can but I was playing with a lad off +1 who shot 80 and another lad off 2 who shot 79 so I was chuffed.

Yesterday was a big club comp 'The Captains prize'. Top 16 to qualify and play a knock out match play. I shot 73 and qualified 7th so I've got the first round of the matchplay to come next week.

Sweet. Seems like you're getting back into the swing of things. I hear that courses in UK are tough as. I'd probably play about 115 -120 in such conditions

Hopefully, I get better soon. My wife figured I would give up golf after 3-months. Its been 15-months and I still love the game, so :bird: to the Mrs

It's a bug matey. It's the most frustrating game in the world but great when you play well.

My mate just bought a Cleveland HiBore driver, 10.5 degs, regular flex. Tried it at the range yesterday, jeebus, very very nice

I won't say they ****e, but its kinda pricey. I always associated Wilson's strengths in tennis racket manufacturing and not golf. Why not look at Taylor Made's, Callaways, Cleveland Launchers etc. Far more established in golfing products, IMO.

I have a set of Wilson's at the minute and I like the feel of them.

My lad had Wilsons a couple of sets ago. He went to Pings from there and then onto a variety of stuff. His bag includes Mizuno, PGA, Prosimmon, Callaway, Macgregor, Masters, and more. He's growing all the time so he won't settle on much for a while.

He actually won money last night when he won the weekly Stableford
                        I live with Steptoe.

Good one Mums, you might be able to live off your son's winnings one day if he turns pro

They are trying to encourage that at the Pro shop but he is more keen on becoming a legal officer in the RAF and then going into practice when he's done his time. He reckons it pays more and he can have days off to play golf

                                Golf balls spanked yesterday.
