What the f*ck is up with the ref's mic in the Argentina v Scotland game? I've got my tele on mute and I can still hear him in my living room!

It's like something out of war of the worlds.

Better performance by the scots there. We should of started playing with it in hand earlier in the game but thats what you get when Parks is in the team. Well deserved by the Argies but they looked quite poor today it might just be a bad game for them though.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

So odds on a South Africa v France Final?

Of the 4 remaining teams surprsingly England looked the best in their well deserved defeat of the Aussies.

I cannot see either England or France lifting their games that much again?

The next 2 weeks are going to be very very interesting

The rugby was well exciting this weekend. Looking forward to next Saturday.

Well what can I say about this World Cup - just amazing and full of shock results!

Well done to England on their win on Saturday - they went back to basics and played their 'usual' boring rugby (and with that I don't mean it in a bad way - they let their pack do the hard work and 'saviour' Johnny kicked the points). Can they repeat their win four years ago? I wouldn't like to bet against it! They can beat France if they continue like that!

The Scots were unlucky and could have won if they had more balls to go for it a bit more in the second half! The Argentinians were no mugs but that's the worst I've seen them play in this tournament so far - too many errors and they will get mauled by South Africa if they play like that again.

The All Blacks gave us their one bad performance (by their standards) in a World Cup again and got knocked out again! What is it with them and their failure in World Cups?! They're awesome before it, and they'll probably be awesome after it, but when it counts most they fail to deliver!?! Fair play to France they did well and came back fantastically, and deserved their win - just hope it continues from here on in! :bird:

Fiji also gave it a good go, but were just short of the line against the Springboks. My original World Cup bet still remains then with South Africa one game away from giving me some winnings, and I expect them to beat the Argies, however, the way this World Cup has been going I shouldn't predict anything should I!

Anyway, well done to England - they have a real chance to regain that trophy now, but here's hoping both France and South Africa get through so that my bets win whatever happens then (I've got money on both)!

Scrum V summed it up nicely last night, by saying although Wales should be dissapointed about not making it to the quarters, Fiji showed what a good team they've become.

The next world cup will hopefully show teams developing even further.

Fiji's running game yesterday against the South Africans was a joy to behold - phenomenal.

Just imagine the Fiji backs paired with the English Forwards - would be pretty decent!

Reading some of the press this morning is very entertaining.

                          Favourite quote so far...

Hooker Mark Regan fired the most stinging post-match barbs after the England pack gave a thundering performance not seen since the English won the Webb Ellis Trophy four years ago.

"After the first two scrums the Aussies were chirping," Regan said, recalling how the English front row was penalised.

"I just said to (Wallabies hooker) Stephen Moore, 'There's still 75 minutes to go kid. Let's just see what happens'.

"The rest of the game for me was like being in a settee between my two props."
                          Quote of the year :

"With monkey me, dogface dishwasher bitch and chimp the ****ing champ you. We are turning into a raving party here arent we"

I always thought that Fuji was the place you took your camera to be developed?! Didn't know they played rugby as well!
