Randy is really something amazing. Kicking huge people's asses all over the place at the age of 44.

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Josh whatever his name ... what a useless tosspot .. GPS ... is just a legend .. his entrance is the best around ..anytime I see him coming into the stadium with his karate outfit on I just want to smash the place up and scream come on !! he looks like how ****ers at my old school used to look when they walked down the alleyway beside the school with about 200 people behind them for a fight ..

Randy Corture ... what can you say .. just pure class .. by far the cleverest fighter ever to step into anyring ... If anybody deserves the Sports Illustrated cover its him. I now have him up there with Ali in my books, a true legend
Huerta is an excellent prospect and potential world champion, but I don't think he is the most rounded in that division, someone like a conditioned BJ Penn could cause him real problems. That division is littered with excellent fighters, it almost seem like there is too many fighters in the division for the UFC to cope with, lots of them are world class. Sherk is in that division.
Koscheck is an over-rated asshole, didnt like the way he bragged about taking Sanchez's 0 record, the chap has no class and was found out badly against GSP.
          Coutoure is a legend.

I'm wondering how much Greg Jackson had to do with GSP's approach in the Koscheck fight because I expected to see the GSP from the Hughes fight, working his jab and throwing kicks.

Also from the Jackson camp, Diego Sanchez showed Koscheck too much respect and got out-boxed.

GSP showed Koscheck no respect at all and rightly so because Koscheck had no way to win that fight.

Alot I would imagine. His camp prepared well for Koscheck, who IMO is vastly over-rated. Not that GSP needed to, but regardless, its good to see GSP preparing so well for his bouts, he is a class act as a man and a fighter. Unlike Koscheck who falls way short in both regards.
I seen Koscheck bragging about his stand up game before the fight, ****ing bull****, you don't learn to be a class boxer in that short space of time, everyone has a punchers chance, and that all he has ever had, nothing special at all.
I was really expecting Sanchez to wipe the floor with him. Sanchez may be a good wrestler, but its a much different when someone has you down while throwing punches, its a pity Sanchez couldn't get close enough to do that.
I'd like to see GSP fighting Serra again, I am sure he would redeem himself.
Matt Hughes could also do with another defeat to put him in his place.

Fighter I miss most lately is Nick Diaz. Why did he have to get cought smoking pot

I just watched the Bobalu Sobral V David Heath fight from that night by downloading in on the UFC website. Quality streams by the way.
Sobral made a bloody mess out of Heath, IF anyone was wondering what all the blood was at the start of the Bravo coverage was from, thats what it was. HE was bleeding bad, as all forhead cuts do.
Then, he gets him in an awesome gator roll and chokes him out, only to hold onto the choke for a little too long and puts him to sleep despite Heath tapping to be let go.
I ahve seen this a few times in the UFC, and sometimes it seems that the fighters are so intense that they don't realise that someone has tapped, or that the ref is trying to stop the fight. Crowd didn't have much sympathy for Sobral though and booed him at the end.

I was expecting Sanchez to beat Koscheck comfortably too. He wasn't himself in that fight. The Sanchez that beat Parisyan and Diaz (albeit by close decision both times) imposed himself with intensity and aggression.

I would love Serra to beat Hughes but can't see it. I predict Hughes to regain his title against Serra and then lose it again to GSP. Serra would then have to beat somebody like Koscheck or Sanchez to give GSP the chance to avenge his loss.

Good to see Frank Mir back to something like his true self. Can't see him getting near to the title though in a division that is a lot deeper than when he was champion.

I didn't download the Mir fight. IS it worth downloading?, have been downloading a few fights lately from the UFC website, a couple of Royce Gracie early fight in UFC 1 & 2. A Dan Henderson fight from Pride, just to get a preview of him. quality is quite good.

Nope won't be going over Paul, would love to some time in the future though.
The UFC are starting to take a shine to staging their events in the UK so may go within the next year or two if they keep it up.

Was thinking the same meself bro

A good mate of mine went over to the one in the MEN Arena and he met all the fighters and Dana White at the weigh ins, he got some great pics Anyway he was chatting to Dana White (says he's sound) and asked him why they didn't stage any events in Dublin since they had done one Manchester and had one planned for Belfast. White said that they had actually planned to do a show in Dublin but the only places that they could have staged a UFC show in (i.e.The Point and RDS) were booked up but he did say that it was deffo something they were considering for the future. So maybe we won't have to go to In-gur-land to watch a few fights

That would be awesome. I'd imagine the demand would be quite big aswell.
Although, I'd say the point is the closest we have to being able to stage a show like that unless you can get a roof in the RDS.
Would deffo have to be indoor and a big arena.
TO be honest, I think the republic of Ireland is crying out for a new world class indoor arena.
