Thanjk you.

Why the hostility? She has never been found to take drugs and most people in athletics seem to believe she was clean. She has paid for her missed tests.
I think it's a fantastic achievement.

She's 'forgotten' to attend four random drug tests.
She's British so the missed drugs tests are being swept under the carpet.
well, not really as this thread demonstrates.
What pisses me off is that she's actually attempting to compete in the Olympics now by appealing her life time ban.
Beware BOA, your sport has a danger of over taking Le Tour de Pharm as the most drug ridden sport out there.

She didn't forget to attend anything. The whole point is that they are random out of competition tests. She failed to tell the testers where to find her which is potentially a very different thing.
I think people in teh athletics community are keen to expose cheats yet in general she has been thought to have been hard done by. I tend to think that this means she should be given the benefit of the doubt. She was tested at all competitions she entered over that time period.

4 times though (I thought it was 3) ? Once is careless for a pro athlete. It's strange how most other athletes don't have this problem.
Twice is suspicious.
Three times suggests to me there is a reason why she has failed to declare her whereabouts to the testers. YOu can just about excuse her once but as a pro athlete there really is no good reason.

It was 3 according to the article I read.
To be honest I think it was stupid and she deserved to be banned. I just think that it depends on if she was changing her working methods or whatever the tests missed were potentially over 18 months and depending on the timing of each one I imagine it is possible to just **** up.
I can see why people are suspicious, I just think you have to give people the benefit of the doubt sometimes.

Had it happened once I would have given her the benefit of the doubt, but 3 times. Surely after the first time if you're a professional athlete you move heaven and earth to ensure you don't make the same mistake twice. It's a career ending "mistake". I think anyone who makes a mistake in their career, if they're told "don't do that again it could finish you" then you make damn sure you comply.
For it to happen twice is bad enough. 3 times is unforgivable. I think she deserves the criticism as do the idiot officials who let her compete.

She also said that if the British Athletic Authority didn't absolve her and give her a clean record she would **** off and represent another country.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
