    US Open Mens Final

    Anyone following this?

It's been interesting stuff so far.

Federer looked in control after taking the first set tie break but Djokovic is looking good a break up in second.

A lot of unforced errors from both players.

You get the feeling there's a lot more to come from this match.

I stuck a tenner on Djokovic to win the tournament at 8/1 a few weeks back.

He's on fire in this second set, he has got Rodger on the ropes....

            ****ing hell.

Djokovic is a Grade A choker.

Should have won the first set but shat himself and now he has done the same from a great position in the second.

Credit to Fed, he's just got that little bit extra in his locker. That mental edge that makes him probably the greatest ever player to step out onto a tennis court.

Djokovic chokes again, wastes more set points.

                Tie break. Federer wins it.

Get down on your knees and salute the best player to ever grace the game!

                Well done Rodger.

Its been a good match and as Djokovic is only 20 he should be able to at least challenge Federer for the next 5-10 years.

I remember when Sampras was winning everything it was pretty much accepted that he was the greatest ever player....**** me, Federer outsrips even him in my opinion.
                  Great Player.

At 2 sets to 0 it's hard to see a way back for Djokovic now, isn't it?

Five straight Wimbledons in a row. Four straight US Opens in a row (assuming he closes this match out).

Simply the name 'Federer' seems to be worth about a point a game! It definitely helps him scare lesser opponents at the decisive moments. Djokovic just seemed to crumble.

As soon as Fed wins the French, he'll be regarded as the best ever, in my opinion.

Federer is the best ever. He has now been in 10 straight Grand Slam finals and won eight of them.

He has won 14 out of 16 tiebreaks in Grand Slam finals. That shows what a winner and champion he is.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                            Agreed, but....

                            Djokovic blew it.

Djokovic is still very young. In the next year or so, he will get better and be told to keep composed when the big points come along, I felt that was the difference between the two today.

Hopefully next year we have a more exciting grand slam finals with each player getting better and more experienced.
