The Official 20/20 Cricket World Cup Thread!

Right, it all starts on Tuesday when the hosts South Africa take on the Windies in Jo'berg.

I love this cricket format - short explosive games. Hope England do well and they should qualify in their group against Australia and Zimbabwe (top 2 go through).

I hope Pakistan do well and I think this form of cricket is suited to them.

Whatever happens it will be a great event IMO - unlike the recent Cricket WC which went on forever!

I think the following will qualify:

Group A - South Africa and Bangladesh
Group B - England and Australia
Group C - Sri Lanka and Kenya
Group D - India and Pakistan

I think it's between Sri Lanka, Australia and shock horror England.

I see no reason why we can't do well in this tourney. We're playing much better limited over cricket and think we'll surprise a few in the international community that might have written us off

I don't think so. Bangladesh are getting better and better at one day cricket and Windies can be pretty ****ing awful on their day. I fancy an upset.

Who else thinks too much cricket is played?
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Dont worry we have invited Shoaib Akhtar to be our batting coach seen as he already knows how to hit Asif off the park
