. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
By the way, is it true Collingwood didn't even manage to score when he went to a lapdancing club?

I think the T20 was such a success that it should replace 50 over ODIs. Never gonna happen but it should IMO.
50 overs cricket is now stuck in a sort of no-man's land. It's nothing like as explosive as T20. Of course T20 is a bit random and not a true cricketing test, but that's what Test match cricket is for.
Domestically, you could bin 50 over cricket and replace it with 20/20 across the board. With the time saved, County games could be extended to five days. Four day cricket is no good to anyone, and there are always too many draws. You'd get more results and players being better prepared for Test cricket by playing 5 day games.
Compare the T20 World Cup with the 50 over version. There's no contest. 50 over cricket is rapidly losing its appeal, for me.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
What do you expect? It was always likely to happen during "Winter Cricket". That's one of the main flaws.
